Description
English: PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Jan. 28, 2009) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Dieter Chapman, left, and Fire Controlman 3rd Class Brad Campbell perform routine maintenance on a MK-38 25mm machine gun aboard the Pearl Harbor-based Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65). Chosin recently participated in the Commander, Naval Surface Group Pacific (MIDPAC) Surface Combatant Group Sail supporting the Pacific Fleet’s MIDPAC Surface Combatant Operational Employment program, which calls for all Hawaii-based surface combatants to focus on the western Pacific by conducting intermediate and advanced training and scheduled deployments in the western Pacific.
